Disappointment after disappointment

I've learnt one thing recently that is don't put all hopes on something until things are all confirmed because things will not turn out the way you want them to be. I have always let myself into fantasy when there's plans to go travelling but i have always got disappointed in the end.
Of all the hard work that i put in looking for accommodation/plane ticktes/places of interest, a simple statement of rejection is more than just words. It really hurts you hell lots. Why should i put up with this? The only reason i can think of is because people don't take this as seriously as i do. When I say i want to do it means i want to. Don't take me for granted and I hate being taken granted for....i don't voice out my anger doesn't mean that i can be pushed to my limits.

I think i had enough of disappointment since last year. Seriously i had enough because my effort is not being appreciated and i hate being disappointed in the end. The feeling is really really bad and sometimes i really really have considered going backpacking myself because it's almost impossible to get somebody to travel with you for all various reasons. I just realized that i am started to dislike people who don't keep the promises that they made...

Bulk buying

From the heavy influence of the Aussie culture, i realized that i have developed the habit of what we all known as the "housewife syndrome" or the "bulk billing" phenomenon. For short --- you can call it "stingy" in a way!
I went shopping yesterday for groceries as per usual and noticed that OMO; one of the most expensive detergent available in Australia, is on clearance sale. "Save 2.77" per box catches my eye straightaway like a diamond attracts a woman. The "housewife syndrome" immediately kicked in and i started to feel excited with blood gushing up to my
brain. Without much considerationg, me and my housemate started to fill our shopping trolley with 4 boxes of the super cheap, cannot find such prices elsewhere of OMO detergent. However, this doesn't really satisfy our "hunger" towards cheap bargains. We noticed that there were somemore boxes available on the top shelf and without fail, we managed to put 8 boxes in our shopping trolley (basically clearning whatever available on the shelf) and walked away happily.
People love cheap bargains, especially housewifes or gals with housewife syndrome (I am one of it). The question is, do we need so much? I admit sometimes i get carried away but till now, my estimation is still quite accurate and haven't had the record of throwing away things that i have bought too much! I knew people who did that though. The wordings "sale" or "buy 2 for the price of 1" and "buy 3 for 5" can be a killer because the irrational bit of the brain takes over and people tends to buy impulsively. Like me, coles is selling Kleenex 2 for $12 yesterday and i've bought 24 toilet rolls in the end. Now my toilet is filled with 8 boxes of omo, >24 rolls of toilet paper, 3 bottels of shampoo and 2 bottles of shower gel. I have enough toilet paper to form a mummy! haha!

Friends!

The interaction between friends can be very dynamic at times that i really don't understand. I had this friendship that i built up since beginning of last year and i really thought that we can be considered as quite close friends from my perspective. However, friendships doesn't go two way equally. Imposing the law of physice, there is action and reaction in the terms of friendship but i don't really think that equilibrium can be obtained necessarily and that is what had happened to my friendship recently. I realized that my friend has got along very well with another friend of mine whom they only knew not long after being introduced via me. They have formed such great friendship together that i realized that i was out of the equation already. This is quite depressing as I realized that I wasn't really counted as my friend's close friend at all even though that i have put in a lot of effort in maintaining this friendship. The chinese adage - you harvest whatever that you plant; it doesn't really work that way. I felt like a little idiot sometimes. Why do i want to bother maintaining this friendship when in fact i wasn't really in your good books? Should i really care? Or should i be angry at myself for believing that i can be your friend?

Too good to be true

Don't get your hopes too high sometimes, the higher your hopes is the greater the disappointment can be.

All these while, i've been trying to find a travel companion because one of my resolution this year is to travel and i really really want to go since i haven't been anywhere since last Beijing trip year 2007. When one of my friends ask me one day if i want to go travelling with her this August, I was so happy and really really thought that my prayers was met. I was so pumped that i went checking out tickets/accommodations/travelling guides, thinking that this is all so good to the extent that i really really couldn't believe it. Honestly, it's really too good
to be true because now my friend told me again that she might not be able to go back due to swine flu reasons. I was really really devastated because all these while i've been trying to search for friends to go travelling with me. It's hard to get everyone to get leav
e at the same time or it could be distance purpose as i am in Australia and my good friends are everywhere in this world or a difficulty in reaching consensus. Up to this age, i realized that it's really hard to find a travel companion. It's just me who is a bit naive thought that this can really be happening.

Hong Kong ---- I really want to visit you...but i do not know when i can do that! But i am sure one day i'll be there....don worry!

Take it easy in life..there's lots to enjoy!

I am very excited and happy today...the exponential increase in adrenaline in my body made me in a ridiculously good mood today and of course in such good circumstance, shopping is the best leisure time that i can think of to spend my lazy sunday. :) Therefore, i headed off to the DFO at Southern Cross with a determination to find something that i like. I am really really happy now because i've found a skinny leg jeans and a pair of boots that i like. However, i've still haven't bought it yet because i am waiting for a second opinion from my friends. Nevertheless, i am still in such great mood that nothing at the moment can make me pissed of. Hahaha...

At this moment, looking back at my previous blog entry, i realized that probably complaints mostly arises from not being contented in life. I know it myself that i want a lot of things at the moment. I should probably take things easy in life and that way i'll be happier. I have to look at things from the positive side from now on. :)

Complaints versus expressions of feelings

Up to this moment, it never came across to me that i may be annoying to somebody because i talk too much about things. I just realized that to somebody, i am actually complaining a lot about things and it struck me that i may be presenting to be quite annoying at times. What a shocker! I always thought that i was sharing my personal life experiences/thoughts/opinion all these while to my friends/family and on the other hand, all the listener wants to do is to shut my mouth up. I do recall times when i get annoyed at people for complaining too much and here am i, doing the same thing over and over again until being told of recently. This left me not really sure of what to say/do already. Am i being overly reactive that i tell people too much? Or should i just shut up and don't say a thing any all because people are just not so interested?

The inner side of me

My "baking" side of me has truly well taken over for the past few weeks. It has been non-stop baking week after week and i really felt the guilt now as i think i've put on weight from eating too many "junk" food recently. The rush of chocolate craze from easter, the growing apetite from the increasing cold weather and not to mention my cravings for different food are the culprites. Nevertheless, i enjoyed my baking a lot and i think it's all about the balance of trying to bake and at the same time maintain my current weight. Over the long easter holidays, i have the sudden urge to bake Orea cheesecake. My friends has been long awaiting for this day as we are all big fans of the club called "DESSERTS". I've started off by coarsely grinding the oreo cookies with my fingers and i realized that why on earth didn't I get a food processor which would make life easier for me? Seriously, to make Oreo crumbs is like a never ending job that particular morning as i have to grind a total of 2 Oreo packets. My goodness, by the time i've finished that task, my thumbs are numb from the constant repetitive action. However, my effort pays off when everyone gave me the thumbs up for my OREO CHEESECAKE.
    Look at the filling - 2 blocks of cream cheese and 2 packages of Oreo (Indulgence of guilt)

After promising my housemate on making a lunch roll for her since last year,
i've finally got all ingredients and found the perfect mood/time to make one for her. My colleague at MPH made it for me once and i fell in love with the delicious combination of vege and cheese. I know that the roll sounds v
egetarian and it's not like something that i would opt for at first sight. However, i immediately wanted more after having the first bite of it and i've finally made it 2 days ago. It's a puff pastry with spinach and ricotta cheese in it. Sounds fatty but then i think it's quite healthy. It doesn't need much oil to cook it with.
I can only rate this masterpiece of mine as an average after tasting it.
It's not as delicious as i thought it would be i think i'll need to work on it again to level up myself. Probably this weekend! My inner side again now warning me of my "GUILT" again...

I am heading off to another hospital to work next week. This hospital reminds me of the hospital back in KK --- Grotty, smelly and scary. I sometimes do contradict myself a lot. I hate my future workplace coz of the poor working environment but then i think the work will be not as stressful where as my current workplace is a lot cleaner/spacious; however work can be stressful at times especially the manager is always trying to be "Tom Cruise" and stay cool most of the time. Now that im transferring to another hospital, i miss my current workplace so much recently that i hope to stay put there. What irony! I guess life goes on...life goes on!

Bz...Busy....Super BZ..!!!

Hai...how many hours have I slept in average for the past few days? Probably 5-6 hours a day! This week have been like super hectic for me. So much for a very slack semester! hehehehe...well....I think it might be because I have been pushing all my stuffs until now I have to rush like crazy (coordinating meetings, research, reports) and I predict I have super high risk of developing back and neck pain after facing the comp for dunno how many hours per day!

I have done pretty much on what I can do this week...so feel like dropping a short and sweet blog entry today. hahahaha!!! Yeay...!!!! My meeting this afternoon is cancelled...so I'm going to go shopping later on...hurrah!!!

Thought of the day - Expectations on someone

Thought of the day (1) - Expectations on someone

Do you ever realize that each and every one around you would have certain expectations on somebody that they know. The level of expectations basically depends on how close or how well you know the person. For example, I would have lower expectations towards a hi-bye friends in opposed to a very close friend that I have. There's this very famous saying that goes - the higher your expectations is, the more likely that you are going to be disappointed or get hurt in the end. So....how high do you want to set your expectations on close friends or people around you? When do you know that the limit that you set is not too high until that they cannot cope or cannot stand it? Another thing that kinds of stroke my mind as well when I'm typing this that is is there any element of taking the other person for granted cause you have very high expectations on them? In a nutshell, would you be taking the other personss feelings, emotions, thoughts for granted because you wanted them to do something that you wanted them to or to think the way you do??? Well, I think that it's true from what I see in myself. This viewpoint is basically for the person who has expectation on somebody. Then, how about the person who is being anticipated to live up to their expectation?

The question that I would like to ask is that......Should they live up to their expectations or not? And why? If they chose to, doesn't it kind of shapes them to a person that another one wants them to be as a result losing their individuality?? If they chose not to, then are they considered as selfish? Or not living up to the "standards" of closeness with the other person?

So, I think the end of the question again asks us all again---DO YOU WANT TO? Till date, I'm not sure how I should response to this simple question that I've posted.

Anyway...that's the thought of the day...have fun reading!

...???...

It's been almost a month since I do any entries in my blog....is it?
Lots have been going through my mind recently and I'm going to get a white hair very soon enough looking at the rate that I'm going. hahahaha...just kidding! i have been sad, happy, confused, blurred, angry, depressed, fed up etc......such a wonderful mixed of expressions that I've experienced in just one short month...if you ask me what I'm feeling now....I dunno if I'm happy....sad....relieved...worried....fed up???? what should I feel now? I also dunno....! one thing that I'm sure is that I certainly miss Casey..my dearest housemate who is coming back on the 8th April...hope to see her real soon. I miss talking to that crazy gal who I've stayed with for the apst 3 years. sometimes sleeping in my room seems not that right without her there..although I dunno if she's going to share a room with me or not...yet...I'm very happy that she's coming back. Of course....CTH...you have your share as well....! hahahaha...that day when I was walking to WJ's house together with Erbert to execute WJ's theory of "sharing is caring" (went there just to send WJ 6 lovely biscuits!) ...hahahaha....I suddenly thought of the night when TH drove round and round in the carpark just in front of "Kah Ling" town lodge...hahahaha...!
Lazy to type already...mind very confused and don't feel like elaborating now...will talk about it later on...bb!

After I came back from...

This is the first blog entry that I'm doing this year in Adelaide since I came back. Seriously dunno what to type...things that I've done...things that has changed in Adelaide...or things that I've realized/understand/learnt...seriously I think that this is going to be a lame entry...hahaha..but never mind as I think it's about time that I do a blog entry cause I dun want my blog to be dead...(hrm..sounds like I'm referring to a specific person..???) :P

Time really passes quite slowly for the past two weeks....hahaha! It feels like I've been back for a long long time already ..yet when I went back to have a think about it....I've just came back like 2 weeks ago...! Many things have happened for the past 2 weeks...I've quarrelled with this stupid agent (he's an idiot and I've never been so mad at a person before)...found a house in the city and is going to move in next week...had some arguements going around....had some heart to heart session and found out that I've some power in influencing ppl (not bad eh..hahahaha....sorry that I'm so S here..typical me..hahaha!)...made quite a bit of observations and conclusions from things that are going around here! Erm..it's pretty hard for me to elaborate on each and every thing that I see/realized/understand for the past 2 weeks....but anyway....just wanted to say that life in Adelaide is seriously eventful compared to my typical life in KK...hahaha....!I know bert will say that my life in KK is boring when he sees this....hahaha..!! As usual...I would reply---KK is not that bad after all...ok??? :P

Btw...I'm moving next week...this super beautiful townhouse that we manage to find has 2 bedrooms upstairs and one (close to bedroom yet it's not a bedroom) room on the ground floor. hahaha...and guess what? I'm taking the not so "proper" room down in the ground floor. The room...let me explain...basically it's just like a normal room...just that it doesn't has a door...so I need to do..is just buy a divider to divide the room from other areas...as in this case the stairs...!!! However, dividers/partitions are so damn expensive as surveyed today at LeCornu (one of the furniture shops here in Adelaide)...so in the end...I've decided to use curtains instead of a proper divider. As ppl might say that I'm on the disadvantage end when it comes to not having a proper room whereas my other housemates get the normal proper rooms upstairs...but to me...I still think that it's alright...hahahaha..look at it this way...I get the whole floor to myself and I will have to pay a lesser rental...! So....to me...it's not that bad....!hahaha....but as I've not tried this before...probably I'll need some time getting used to it...I guess...! As I've said...I'm alright with the room itself...!! :) Hrm...can't really wait to move into it next week...I've been looking forward to it since I've gt the house which is like last week...that's a pretty long wait for me..hahahaha!!!!

oh yeah....wanted to say thanks to the person who invented telephone, those who invented hp, those scientists who made technology more and more advanced. hahaha.....I just realized that distance can seriously be narrowed with the use of today's advanced technology which is like super good for keeping in contact with people overseas...hahaha...! Anyway...just realized this yesterday when Th called me...hahaha...! I'm just crapping here..so I think I better stop now...cause it's starting to get more and more lame! :)

Boring night in KK

I'm supposed to go to this gathering at this bubble tea shop just further down my house tonight, but apparently most of the ppl are not free, gathering was cancelled...so ended up staying at home watching tv and trying to figure out how to charge the new phone that my dad has bought today. Boring life eh..!
Actually it's not that boring, I just came back from my fabulous KL trip 3 days ago. Time really passes by very quickly. Can't imagine that I've been in KL for 10 days already...from genting trip to shopping trips to eating trips and now ended up in KK running my errands like crazy now. KL trip-----what strikes into my mind the first thing that I thought about it? Hrm...too many...!let me list it out now...:
1. Bumper car rides for a total of 50 minutes nonstop...and nearly picked up a fight with 2 boys and one gals playing there as well. In the end, it was a joint venture with those three to attack another guy. hahaha..!!!
2. Definately neoprints! I think the three of us (TH, Jo and me) had taken 2 neoprints altogether, one in Sunway and the other in 1 utama.
3. "Mango lo"----a delicious dessert that I had on the last night in KL...and the three of us laughed like crazy all because of this stupid photo that Teck Heng took on me. I seriously think that we have laughed for more than 15 minutes non-stop. But that night was seriously fun! Enjoyed every minute of it.
4. Clubbing at Zouk----That place was a beautiful place (at least I think it's better than Heaven in ADL in terms of it's building design)..but the songs there really cannot make it. The 3 of us were anticipating for R&B music the whole night..only then we found out that they are not playing R&B music on the night that we went there. Bugger!!! But...it's a good experience! Oh yeah...saw a lot of guys dressing up like gals there...(or in summary---gay ppl)!
5. Night tour around Sunway area----had a thorough night tour of Sunway one night with TH as my tourist guide. Found out that---SUNWAY HOTEL SERIOUSLY IS VERY BEAUTIFUL. hehehe.....quoted by me----SUNWAY hotel's "mushroom head" (at the front of the hotel) can anytime beat one of the hotels' exterior design here in KK...!! And I found out another thing as well----Baskin and Robbins shop doesn't open until 1 in the morning..!! hahaha...was searching for it that night cause suddenly got urge to buy a whole tube of ice-cream and eat it while watching "Chronicles of Narnia"! Too bad, ended up with no ice-cream and din manage to watch the movie as well cause we went back home quite late!
6. Horror korean movie "The Wig"---went to watch this movie together with Th and Jo. Basically me and Jo screamed our heads off for most of the time until ppl from the front row actually turned their heads around to search for these two crazy gals who screamed for nothing. hahaha!!!
7. Asia cafe---I LOVED the food there! Fried mushroom...lala....ikan bakar....durian pudding...walau....I'm hungry now! how I wish KK got this kind of big hawker stall..and you'll definately will see me there for 4 days in a week. hahaha...can't go there everyday cause will gain weight much to easily.
8. Putrajaya----oh...that place is really heart capturing! The designs of the buildings there and bridges are magnificent and I can't imagine that Malaysia is capable of doing such things. It really amazes me. That night...I was very proud of Malaysia. :)
9. Flinestones----In order to get as many tickets as possible so that we can redeem prizes...the 3 of us had to play this memory games of Flinestones in one of the arcade in genting for almost 1 hour. We can get 58 tickets by winning each game and I think we got about 1000 over tickets from that machine. We played until we are sick of Flinestone and until our minds are so blur that I can't memorize properly for the last few games. But it's all worth it...each of us got a colourful zipper pencil case and one snowman softtoy. That snowman is sooooooooooo cute!
10. Snowworld----Although the three of us has experienced snow in Mt. Buller last year...we still went into the snowworld in genting...wearing their smelly jackets and gloves (felt like vomitting that time). Took a ride down this snow hill sitting on a tyre (I think it was called tooboogan...don't know how to spell) anyway...our back side hurts like crazy the next day due to the bumpy ride down the hill...but it was exciting..won't mind taking another ride!
I don't think I can list out all the fun things that we did in KL...but I seriously din regret going there. The only thing that it's out of ordinary this time is that I din take a lot of photos in KL...! I also dunno why..probably the culture here is different from in ADL...as in I looked super like a "kampung girl"...taking pictures everywhere and everything until I'm a bit embarressed to get the camera out of my bag. Anyway....I still manage to capture some memorable moments with Jo and TH..and that's more than enough for me. It's been great going to KL to spend time with Jo (btw...I din sleep diagonal this time..hahaha) and TH. I really appreciate their hospitality. Hope that I can go there again end of this year. Just want to tell the both of you---Thanks a lot n Friends Forever!
I think I better stop now...! Oh yeah....Th just came up with this short form which I think is very interesting yet very ironic as well cause it's basically used to tease me. but I can't deny that it's very good. I'm going to cut and paste it here...have a read..and laugh all you want..!!! :P
The meaning of BRILLIANT:
B = Blur
R = Ridiculour
I = Idiot
L = Lousy
L = Lazy
I = Ironic
A= As As (as in SS)
N = Needless
T = Thoughtless

What the heck???? hahaha...first time I see ppl interpret brilliant like this.

2 weeks in KK

It's almost 2 weeks back here in KK, starting to get more use to the life here in terms of my living pattern and diets as well. I realized that I'll automatically wake up when it's 10am which is not like me when I'm back in Adelaide. I used to eat 2 meals a day...now I'm having breakfast, lunch and dinner! Erm...I seriously think that I'm going to gain back all the weight that I've lost...this is not good! Not to mention that I'm going to KL soon...which means that I'm going to gain even more weight..!hahaha...!!!
Life for the past 2 weeks is not very exciting compared to KK due to strict parenting. But never mind, I have a lot of things to do to make myself occupied such as going online....writing my diaries...rearranging the mass photos taken in ADL and also watching movies...shopping....talking on the phone. Ain't life relaxing? :P Another 1 month of this life then I'll go back to ADL where life will be full on with assignments, activities, fun and ooommmphhhhh!!!! :) both lives have their own good thing about it and I'm enjoying everyday of it.
Christmas is over and New Year is coming. Hrm...I think most people will be thinking of their new year resolutions by now, are you? I dunno..but for the sake of it, I think I should start thinking of mine as well. hrm...what do I want to achieve next year? Never really give much of a thought actually. To be honest, I'm pretty satisfied with my life now that I seriously have not much aim to work towards to. Loving family, great friends, good health...what more can I have? A boyfriend???? nah........don't really think so at the moment. I know what....earn more money and go travelling...I still haven't visited Perth, Canberra, Tazmania and Cairns (I'm definately not going to the outbacks.. all thanks to the movie "Wolfcreek"...haha). Anyway...am I supposed to keep my new year resolutions a secret? like how they do with their birthday wishes? Don't really know..!!! :) but I'll sure keep my resolutions to myself just in case that I don't get to achieve mine..then people still won't know about my "laziness"...hahaha..!!! :)
Another 2 more days to countdown...I wonder how the rest of my gang are going to celebrate their New Year's eve. I know that there's some celebration going on at my uncles's house and I know that my family are going over to uncle's house for countdown. Hrm...I'm still not sure yet. Me and my KK gang still haven't decided on what to do that day. Moreover, I'm not sure if my mum will let me go that night as well. It's a bit hard to say because she doesn't allow my brother and sister to attend their youth event...let alone me joining my friends...!!! See how it goes..!!!
In case that I don't manage to wish everyone that I know....HAPPY NEW YEAR 2006 everyone! Hope that the coming year will be great for each and everyone of you guys out there and wish that you guys will be happy whereever you are and whatever you do or whoever you are with. :)

Changes in life

Ever feel like stopping the time to a particular year/period so that everything will stay the same (nothing will change). Well.....i really do have those kind of feeling right now..!! Three of my best friends in Adelaide (Teck Heng, Casey and Edmund) are graduating tomorrow..!! For the past few days...I've been going around with the rest of my gang as part of bringing Teck Heng's parents to see Adelaide! The thought that strikes my mind first is that this will probably be the last time that I do this particular thing with either one of them and I might not have the chance of experiencing the same thing with them anymore. It makes my heart wrench when thinking of that! I'm feeling extremely happy that the three of them are graduating this year and that they will continue to head on with their lives; yet at the same time I dread for it to happen cause I know that their graduation indicates that the time that they are leaving Adelaide is nearer. Thinking of what will our lives be without them (sleeping in a room without the presence of Casey, no more long talks with Teck Heng, lesser Amei news to hear from, walking to BP in the middle of the night to buy subway, being teased by Teck Heng.....the list goes on.....) seriously is very intimidating to me cause I don't like how it's changing to at the moment. I've told WJ before that these changes are inevitable and you have to learn how to accept that. However, telling ppl what to do is easy and taking the action yourself is extremely hard. I've kept myself busy for the past few days trying to sort out the graduation gifts to give to the three of them .....in a sense occupying my mind from thinking too much. Nevertheless, if I have the extre time to just sit in the car (listening to music) and with someone starting this topic, those heart-wrenching emotions will just surged in without any warning signs. I really hope that i don't look gloommy during their graduation tomorrow, I wanted to look the best and take the prettiest pictures with all of them as memories! Just wanted to say (Casey, Teck Heng and Edmund)------------------------I'm going to miss the three of you terribly next year. I'm keep in touch with all of you guys tremendously so that you won't forget this gal here in Adelaide...!!!

Just another night here in Adelaide

Working through my reports and preparation for my patients tomorrow...it's just another normal night for me. Still working hard on the remaining 10% of the photoframe that I've been doing for the past few weeks! I still have another 3 more to go and that's it...I can continue with a photo session with my effort...then only i distribute it out!!! :)

Doing my adult rehab placement now.....!!! Dont' really enjoy it, but I'm starting to get the hang of it! Probably I'll get to like it in the next few days of my placement. hahaha...but I really dread to go for placement this Friday cause I'm going to face "stinky" feet...!!! Luckily like what TH said.....water here in Adelaide is not being charged per usage...if not...seriously I'll be broke just by paying of water bills because I've been taking shower so frequently (the max is 4 times in just one day)! hahaha....I too feel relieved that water is not being charged here....! I think I've gotten Michelle's "virus" of taking showers whenever possible...hahahah!!!

Usual night...Casey is still talking to Wen Pinn now.....they haven't been talking for the past few days due to exams...!!! Oh yeah....she's talking about this Christmas party that is at the heat in our gang right now! So...wanna know what it is? It's basically a pre-celebration christmas party (WJ is going back next Sun, so will have to celebrate it before she goes back)...so what we are planning to do is that each and every one of us has to come up with a present (cannot be less than 15 bucks) for this gift exchange event during the party! Condition is that the present has to be unisex, cannot be food stuffs and other ppl can't know about what you are buying so that the present is a SURPRISE! hahahaha.....Wen Pinn can't know what Casey is buying cause I'm here....Casey can't tell cause she'll violet the rules...!! She kept on giving out clues to Wen Pinn...but he still can't get it...!! erm....actually I also can't guess what she is going to buy..!! so....breaks even! Talking about presents...I've got an idea of what I'm going to buy...hehehe...going to go and search for it this weekend!! hehehe.....I'm seriously looking forward to this celebration because it's very meaningful (at least to me!) Casey is trying very hard to keep the secret....let's see how good she is in that...if she manage to let me know about it...hahaha...she'll have to get another present...!!! :) I wonder how the rest is going with ideas here........I know that TH has an idea of what to buy...how bout the rest???? I can't stress enough........it's a SURPRISE PRESENT.....so don't let anyone know about it.....!!!! The surprise will be spoilt!

Michelle is finishing her exams this sat.....then everyone is free except for me.....hrm...:P but nvm....I'll get my holidays in about 2 and a half weeks times...!! Can't wait for my holiday to come...!! hurrah.....!!!! :)

Erm...have to continue working on my photoframe now...!!! Wish that my frens have a great holidays.....!

C ya kids!!!!

Hurrah....today is totally the end of my paediatric placement for this year..!! That means no more kids for the rest of 2005..!! hahaha...isn't that great!?? Anyway...I got an overall credit for this placement which I think is alright as I don't expect that I will get more than a C due to the minimal amount of effort that I have put it except for that home exercise booklet that I made for one of my patients! With the help of Teck Heng's artistic talent, I manage to get another point towards full marks for my home exercise program...which was good! Thank TH!

Guess what guys?? My mp4 player is working for the past two days which was a miracle (at least to me :P) and was spoilt again today..!! hahaha...and the funny part is that I don't feel a thing..!!I was screaming with joy which puts Casey off that night cause it was past midnight when I found out that my stupid mp4 player is working and I was calling everyone up telling them about this good news. She couldn't stand me when I'm like a crazy girl laughing over nothing. Anyway...my excitement didn't last very long as it's not working now...bugger! That's the consequences of buying cheap stuffs...!!! Erm....how about expensive mp3 player like IPOD????? Hrm...???? (deep in thoughts....should I buy??? hahaha...) joking only...I don't have money to buy it...so go away iPOD...don't tempt me anymore!!!!

Things have been pretty slow recently as all of us are busy with exams except for me and WJ (we are having placement)! Till now, I think that everyone did ok...with Joanne telling me that she wanted to defer her exams in order to get full marks (haiyo...that girl.....still not satisfied with her HD already.......going for HHD I guess hahahaha......Joanne Joanne.....you are seriously funny!!!) Anyway...good luck guys with the rest of your papers!

I found out of my timetable for next year and I realized that I'm starting on the 13th of Feb instead of the 20th...!!! hrm....tried to argue with the lecturer.....but no success!!! So that means that I have to come back early.....which is not good! Not only that, I probably have to go to KL in Jan.....good news or not???? I don't care......by hook or by crook I really must go to KL this time!!!

I'm totally free this weekend and I have nothing to do because everyone's busy with their exams....!!! Hai......I need to think of something now....have to fully utilised my short short short short break...! Very tired now...!!! Feel like shopping...probably go shopping now....!!!

Pakistan guy at king william street??

Today it was just a normal day for me, as usual feeling exhausted after dealing with this extremely difficult kid at placement. Was leisurely walking towards Rundall mall, going towards Rundall mall when all of a sudden a guy approached me asking me for directions. This guy----how to say, is about my height...probably slightly taller than me and is darker than me). He spoked to me in Malay, asking me where am I from. Well, we started a conversation using my lousy Malay (with a bit of english in between) Basically, he was asking me about where do I come from, which country, what my name is etc...!!! This is so normal cause I always do that when I'm talking to a stranger here in Rundall Mall. People here are very friendly...so I don't see anything fishy in him thinking that he's just a lost visitor here in Adelaide and was happy to see someone from the same background as him (he told me that he's from Sabah---Tawau.l..the same state as I'm from). However, things are not always as simple as I thought it would be. He started to ask me fishy questions like whether I am attached/married or not...!!! Before I can think of what his motives were, he asked if I can be his gf or not. What the heck? That's very sudden and I've never ever thought that that would happen to me. I was so shocked when I heard that. So........what did I do? I tried to act blur....saying that I don't understand what he's trying to tell me (btw...he is talking to me in broken english...so that reason of not understanding him is pretty logical I would say). However, he's not easy to brush away, he tried hard using his broken malay and english trying to ask me the same thing again. Unfortunately I just have to tell him "no, thank you!" straight at his face. Luckily he took it quite well by giving me a smile and bring out his hand out to give me a handshake. For a moment there, I was thinking if I should shake his hand or not. However, I thought that it's just a friendly gesture...so why worry? Moreover, King William Street is one of the busiest street here in Adelaide...I think don't anything drastic would happen anyway. So, a bit reluctant, I shaked his hand thinking that everything should be fine. As I was shaking his hand, he suddenly pulled me over to his side and give me a good bye kiss (I think...!!) Luckily, my reflexes were quick enough to react to what's happening at that moment. I quickly backed off with eyes opened wide with shocked, pulled my hand away from his...uttered the word "bye" and left quickly without turning back. I was a bit shocked and scared...!! But luckily this man did not get angry or anything....phew...that was close...!!! I quickily called up Michelle.........telling her what happened to me...and was being teased by her...!!! Hai.........!!!! :P So...what have I learnt from this? Never ever again to be too friendly to people that you don't know...and of course...never to shake people's hand whom you think are fishy...!!!! Lesson no. 1 for the day!!!!! :)

Today it's extremely hot-----31 degrees!!!! I was so hot that I lose my apetite to eat...!!! Haven't been eating main meals for quite a few days already........dinner was instant noodles....and fruits...!!! This week is pear week....bought about 5 pears yesterday...planning to eat one each day for lunch...!!! hahaha...healthy!!!!!! :) Michelle was whining about the hot weather today like crazy...!!!! Can't blame here...it's really really hot until I don't feel like doing anything except taking showers! Flies were everywhere...it's crazy...!! You can see people having "flies fight" when they are walking.......trying to brush the flies away which are very irritating...!!! However, it's never ever successful in doing that! The flies are really annoying! Summer is coming and I reckon the flies will be ready for their "big attacks" soon! Luckily I'm not going to be here for summer...!!! Good luck to those who are going to be here during that period of time! :)

Anyway, going now. Bye bye everyone!

Playing with kids!

hey,
It's been a while since I've put in an entry here. It's about time that I do so. Really am tired now cause I've been playing with kids the whole day and had attended an hour of PE lesson in the afternoon. I've worked my legs hard by playing jumping games with my kids in the hospital and doing vigorous physical activities today. Phew...glad that's over for today! My legs were sore from yesterday's "animal games" and jumping games. hahaha...luckily those kids did not give me a hard time. Actually there's this kid today that I've seen. You should have seen him..he is basically so energetic that I have to chase him around trying to get him do stuffs. Interesting enough, I have to make the whole session fun for him and it really triggers me to think of fun exciting games for him. Overall it was not too bad...however, my tutor had a lot of feedback for me and I reckon to her it's not that good. Hopefully all will turn well next day!

Doing my seminar presentation on Down Syndrome. It really is giving me a headache trying to search for recent articles and pictures of it. However, I think i've manage to do at least 80% of it. It's a matter of compiling it and presenting it this Friday. Wish me luck guys!
